I bought a kit from them a while ago. The upper was fine, no problems at all. The parts kit was something else however. Many of the internals needed some "fitting" to install correctly. This was nothing that a dremel or a file couldn't accomplish however.
I've used Colt internal kits in my other projects that fit much better.
My $.02

I've heard many people say the J&T kit is much better. http://webcats.net/store/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=J&Category_Code=K
Comes with everything but a stripped receiver, which you can get here for $75: http://www.quanticoarms.com/asp/itemDetail.asp?dispItemNum=739&type=M&CMN=Eagle%20Arms&CMNum=22&CMSNum=68&CMSN=Receivers

$40 dollars? ;f
I actually don't know, good question. For one, it looks like the Expedition has a muzzle break, on the regular CAR it's an option. They may use 4140 steel on the regular CAR, and 4150 steel on the Expedition. I would drop them an email and see what they say.
