View Full Version : Big Dawg 772 Is No More
Hello friends,
I have documented in this forum the frustrations I have had in getting my G36 fixed on the "recall" situation. I spent almost a year trying to contact Glock, especially Chad Mathis to take my gun back and fix it. I have never, ever received any response from Glock.
Today, I decided that I had it with Glock and traded the G36 for the Walther P99 (9mm). As I am now and will be forever be Glockless I must retire my Big Dawg Number 772. I will stop back and say hello once in awhile but my frustrating experience with the jamming, gun replacements and everything else with Glock is now over.
You all take care,
Steve

Steve,
Porter here. Read your post with interest. I have had some recent problems with my 36 and wanted to ask you some questions.
The first 200-400 rounds went through just fine without a hitch. however, I began having stovepipes and even managed a squib thereafter I was using winchester white box, so I changed ammo and went to america eagle. It seemed a bit better but still had 1-2 jams per 50. I have not had any with speer 230 gr. or
In addition, I noticed the slide would not come back completely when the magazine was empty. Seemed like it might be a mag/spring problem, but I dont know. Did you expereince anything like this?
Thanks in advance.
Porter.

Ruff ruff!!!
All of same on first model 36. Even Glock couldn't fix it and replaced the gun. The second one worked fine. However, with the recall I was afraid to carry it fearing a failure with the rails. After a year of Glock refusing to fix the second one, I threw in the towel and gave Glock the middle finger salute.

Even after reported failures the gun continued to function for serveral rounds. Far more than you would need in a firefight or carry on your person.
The only reason Glock wouldn't replace your frame is it wasn't affected by the recall. I don't think we're getting the whole story here.
