I have been looking for a good .45. After reading your posts about the G30 and G36 I went to the gun shop today to feel a fondle the 30 and 36. I got a real good deal on a 30 which fit my hand the best of the two. Now I have a 17, 27 and 30. Hope the 30 shoots as well as my other two. I would appreciate any suggestions you might have on holsters and magazine pouches. I will be carrying the 30 concealed.

I have a Blade-tech belt holster and a BT IWB for my 30, and both are excellent. The IWB is more discreet, but the belt holster is the most comfortable holster I own and is FAST! I have the loop model with belt thickness shims. I used that holster a year or so ago to shoot a Defensive Handgun II course at Thunder Ranch and found it to be perfect; retentive even when running, rolling on the ground, etc, and very quick to draw from. Just ordered a new one for my G-19. I've been using a BT IWB for that gun for 10 years with complete satisfaction. WARNING: some people find the G-30 too fat for IWB carry. Not me; I like having that excellent gun with me, and don't mind the weight/size. You CAN conceal it in an IWB holster under a light shirt or jacket.
I use Blade-tech mag pouches, too, with the Tech-Loc attachment making them easier to put on or take off.

I also use an Eagle fanny pack when it offers any advantage. It's also excellent. www.eagleindustries.com
I think you would be happy with any of the above gear. Congratulations on your Model 30! :)
Welcome aboard! You should enjoy the G30, I do!

I use an Uncle Mike's Kydex belt holster designed for the G21. A miter saw and a little sandpaper cut it right down to size. The are only $20 or so. Uncle Mike's Kydex mag pouches are $10. Cheap and work fine!
I've been carrying my G-30 using the FIST holster for the last three years; not every day, but almost.
It can be seen here: http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/holster/19.htm
not cheap - at first, but very, very, cheap in the long run.
I've tried dozens of lousy holsters and most of them I still have -
But I always end up wearing the FIST when I leave the house. It's a beautiful, supple and comfortable, adjustable IWB. A loose shirt is fine for concealment as long as the shirt doesn't "billow out" in the breeze. Catch my drift?
I hope this post helps y'all from buying too many worthless holsters (like me).
