Excited. Got my 30 today, it was hard to find a new one for some reason. I payed 570 with tax and out the door. I had to order it as a special item.
I have taken it apart and went throught the manual step by step learning how everything operates. BTW this is my first GLOCK and im very impressed so far. It is very easy to take apart and clean. pure Awsome. Now i wana feel the power.
What are some of the best holstes you guys use for concealment.(spelling) SOme of the post use acronims and i dont know what they mean. so help me out some with these holsters.

Congrats on your purchase. You will not be disappointed with the 30.
I carry my 30 in a Milt Sparks VM2. It is a very comfortable and very well made piece of leather. I only have to wear a t shirt as a cover garment.
Holster acronyms are:
OWB "outside the waistband"
IWB "inside the waistband"
I like the plain old Dune Hume leather IWB with belt clip. Might have to buy bigger pants!
Congrats on the G30. You will love it.

I've tried several holsters. The Comp-Tac Gurkha, an inside-waistband (IWB) holster with a good solid gunbelt works well, though you have to get a size-bigger pants. The newer C-Tac from Comp-Tac is even better.
Sidearmor is also another good brand.

...enough said. ;)
I can sell you a Sidearmor G30 OWB and two mag carriers, both black, RH, for 1.5" belt. OWB has 15 degree cant.
Justin, you picked one helluva first Glock!
Heve fun, shoot safe
SideArmor makes a great product.
Near the back of the manual you will see a comment about the placement of the guide rod/recoil spring assembly. THIS IS IMPORTANT!
On the barrel you will find two positions where the assembly can fit. There is a half-moon shaped recess next to the body of the barrel and a horizontal ledge. It is important that the rear end of the guide rod be placed in the half-moon recess and NOT the ledge (which is the operating position and where you will find the rod when field stripping the pistol). Failure to properly position will cause the guide rod to fail in a relatively short period of time as mine did.
OTHERWISE
You will find the G30 to be a wonderful pistol to shoot and carry. I use sidearmor and am pleased. You can sometimes find a good deal on this site under the "Holster" catagory and also on ebay. Fist is another of the quality kydex products available. Due to thickness and other considerations, kydex seems to be the most popular ones here.

I knew that it was supose to go there but when i feild strip it is is down off the half moon and i thought there was soemthing wrong with my gun. Thanx for clearing that up for me.

I've already done a few years of CCW "leg work" for ya ...

(and I only say that 'cause I've tried 'em each and every one
.. so forget that small of the back folder, that miami over the shoulder holder or the high ride "body molder")
... it's FIST IWB ... if you want to comfortably conceal on daily basis ...
... (my appologies to E.E. cummings) and Webster

I've got 9 or 10 Sidearmor holsters including several of the newer modular version both for Glock and 1911. You can't go wrong with Sidearmor products.

Now it is time to find a drawer where you put that holster, once you tried out the UCR from Threat Solutions. If the UCR is your next, you can keep your holster drawer small. If you try others before going to the UCR, you'll need more room in the drawer ;f
