I wasn't sure Colt ever produced a post-ban 9mm rifle, but I snagged one from an ad in the local paper last week...
Standard 9mm carbine, A1 sights, fixed stock, no bayo lug or flash hider.

Came with a double-cut UZI 20rd mag and an aftermarket 40rd. Yesterday I went to the range and put anywhere from 20 to 50 rounds of each of the following thru the gun, split equally between the 2 mags. (CDNN has the 20rd UZI mags cut to work in both guns, about 30 bucks a pop and worth every penny).

Federal 124gr Gold Medal Match 124gr FMJTC
Speer 115r +p+ GDHP
Ranger 127gr +p+ SXT
Federal 124gr +p EFMJ
Federal 124gr HydraShok (my depts issued 9mm ammo)
CCI Blazer 115gr FMJ
Triton 135gr +p JHP
Hirtenberger L7A1 124gr NATO SMG
Winchester 147gr JHP subsonic(9MS)

ONE malf, and that was me 'shortstroking' the action loading the first round late in the session (no bolt-stop on these mags). GAWD I luv Colt 9mm carbines/SMGs! I've never had that kind of luck with the Oly, Ruger, Marlin or KelTec carbines I've shot.

My idea was to put as many different velocities, shapes, pressures and weights of ammo through the gun to see if it 'liked' anything in particular--one ragged hole as long as I did my part. Granted, the indoor range I was at was only 15 yards, but I'm still very happy with the gun's performance.

The felt recoil/blast and bolt speed were noticeably different with several rounds, mainly the 147gr subs and 124gr Fed GM Match (slowwww)....and the hotter stuff of course was zippy. I'm looking for a mild 147gr plinker load; next on the list from my stash is the CCI 147gr FMJ, Rem 147gr FMJ Match, and the American Eagle 147gr FMJ.
