OK, topic number 2 for the day.

Thinking about jumping on the Shot show deal.. RASII with foregrip and some other dongles for $275.00

Will hang a foregrip and a light on it.

I currently have Regular M4 handguards with the GG&G UFIR on them. I put the KAC foregrip on but there appears to be movement(slight) in the handguards and I have been unable to stop it. It's more of an annoyance than a big deal.
I want to free float the handguard without having to pull off the front sight and Delta ring assembly.

This leaves me with KAC RASII or ARMS #40 or something.

any of you with the UFIR have handguard movement ? Who has the RASII or the ARMS and has any thoughts ?

Thanks

Nigel

I have a standard RAS and there is no movement what-so-ever! The RAS II would be even more sturdy (if there is such a thing) since it seems to attach to the rails of the upper.

The $275 deal is not bad at all. I am thinking about getting one and selling my RAS. I could also sell the foregrip that comes with it; I'd probably come out ahead.

But, if I were to do that, I would also have to sell my Knights Aimpoint mount because it would then be mounted too high.

I'll probably just end up keeping what I have though....

Silver, No movement at all !, thats great...

Does the RAS attach to the Delta assembly the same way a standard handguard does or does it have "enhanced stability features" :-)

thanks for your help !

Enhanced. There is a little claw thing that goes under the collar and there a nut that gets tightened down to actually sweeze a hold of the receiver.

I can hold my M900a by itself and swing the rifle around and feel no movement; that's how sturdy it is.
