Block in the Colt AR 5-rounder mag.

I'd like to remove that block and bring the capacity back to what appears to be 15 rnds. Has anyone run into this kind of problem before? Will I ruin the thing if I remove that rivet in the base and then extract the 'plug thing'?

Just drill the rivet out and take out floor plater and remove the filler piece of sheet metal and your good. Same spring and follower as origanal and will work great. I believe they are twenty round mags, or used to be years ago when I got mine.

BTW- Don't throw the block in the trash like my dumbass did. Somebody on arfcom will buy it to convert a 20rd to a 5rd mag.

Well, it was just too darned 'special' to dumpster, so it's in the 'X Files Junk Drawer' with other wonderful-looking junk.
I need to get a bigger drawer.
