Trade Value Question

I am an AR-15 novice whose been presented with a trade offer that I need help evaluating. I've been offered a "like new Colt Match target lower, all colt parts, A2 buttstock, small front pivot pin" that the owner claims to have $400 in, in trade for a NIB Ruger Vaquero.
First, would I need an adapter to mate this lower with say, a Rock River upper, or is the small pin the standard? Second, assuming that the Ruger is worth $350-$375, is this a fair trade?

id say it was a fair trade.

That is a fair deal,
If it has the small pin in the front you will not need an adapter to mate it with any upper other than a large hole colt upper. I would question trading a working gun for a part of another, but hey that is just me.
