I just got a well-used Colt AR. The receiver is really worn. In some areas you'd see the original finish gone and just the bright bare aluminum showing. I was going to have it refinished and I'd like to get some feedback on what would be the best. A couple of buddies have recommended having it anodized. I've gotten a couple of suggestions to paint it with a camo type pattern like the new bushy. What would you guys suggest?
have it stripped and anno'd purple and pink ;)
I'd just spraypaint it whatever color you want. Disassemble and mask off the inside, then paint. A guy I shoot with used the car paint stuff from Wal-Mart so his rifle matches his truck.
