I really love my G30

Between crappy weather, holidays, daddy duties and all the other crap that keeps you from the range I hadn't fired a shot in over a month ( I know, I know). The only public range around is a s--t hole, miles down a un-snowplowed goat trail and another indoor s--t hole, 4x4 cinder block cell. Finally I got to join the local Issac Walton League, you can only join in Jan., then take the range officers course, Feb 7, and snow or no snow I'm shooting something. Started with the 19, nothing to write home about, Shot the 22, no better, G23 first shot dead center at 15 yards, the next 19 rds, I could have done better throwing them. I thought I'd just go home, at least waste time and money somewhere warm then I heard it. Like in the kung fu theater movie, when the master runs a finger down the sword and it begins to vibrate and hum. I pull the slide on my G30 and put the first 5 rds in a quarter size spot at 15yds. Five more 5rd groups just like that. Now, I've shot everday this week. The other gun's groups have come back in where they should be (for me) but my 30 amazes me everytime I shoot it. I'm taking a hand mirror tommorow and working on my cowboy trick shooting. Sorry about the post length but I really, really love this gun. I really don't swing this way but I swear I'd kiss Gaston on the lips for this one. Gotta go fellas, I gotta write a song or a poem or something.

Well yea, it might have been a weak moment and there might have been some beer involved during the post and I really wouldn't kiss Gaston but I really do love the gun.

I don't know... I loved my last 30... Not quite enough to kiss him.
This time I got Mepros, extended slide release, and 3.5 connector. I still don't think it is good enough to kiss him. I have to shoot it before I can tell you. ;) Single-daddy duties (2 BABIES) kinda keep me from the range. I can get the earplugs in their ears, but they always pick them out. ;g

Thanks for the backup Claywms. I do recend the kissing him bit, maybe if he like gave it to me or something(the 30) I'm a newly single dad of two (5+7) it does cut into the rangetime.

5 and 7? That shouldn't be too terribly hard, you can probably get them to keep the plugs in their ears. ;)

Oh man, those are babies. They pick the plugs out of ears hole and either eat them or find alternate holes.

The girl, 7, is flat not interested and the boy is a little young for the G30. Good luck with them.

I think I have you beat...my four kids are 6, 5, 3 and 6 months.
Needless to say, I don't get the range time that I'd like!
