View Full Version : SWR or Gemtech for g21?
interested in purchasing a suppressor for my g21. i live in florida and i know all of the legal steps to take but can't decide whether the swr or the gemtech would be a better suppressor. any advice would be much appreciated....thanks in advance.....
Damn, why dont you start a WAR!!!!! :P
VERY hard choice. Probably come down to prefrence, and specific features that one mfg might have over the other, and how much it is worth to you.
Cant make a BAD choice here. This should be interesting, because I have a G21, and Want to put a can on it. You might consider the ATAS from tom bowers too...Probably the best .45 can out there but you pay out the nose.
is there a website for the tom boyers one? and thanks for the reply. what's the real differences between the SWR and gemtech other than $300?
subguns.com
Umm....Specifics I dont know. I've never used the .45 pistol cans. I'm sure someone will chime in, if not, post a msg on subgubs.com NFA section, you will get responses there.

I have both Gemtech and SWR cans. With that said, I have a SWR/HEMS for my G21. I like it a lot, and can use it on any 45. Either make is good quality.
SWR all the way. I've met Joe over in Martinez, and he's a great guy!

I've been told by a guy that's into class 3 stuff that his Glocks are very picky about what brand of suppressor you attach. Failure to cycle was the most common problem. He did not mention which suppressors didn't function reliably with his Glock, but he did say that he now only uses SWR suppressors because the Glock loves them.

I bought a SWR HEMS. I am still waiting on the ATF to do their part.
The best part about SWR, is Joe. I am new to the NFA stuff and he was more than helpfull. He could have baffeled me with BS, but he didn't.
