View Full Version : Is the G30, uhm, rare?
I have a G30 on hold at a nearby shop. They called me today to confirm that I still wanted it, as they have a line of folks waiting for one and they said they are having trouble getting them.
Huh?
I'm getting it for a good price, but it's their regular price, so I know they are not just trying to sell it for more money. Has anyone else heard of their being hard to come by?
Thanks, Tom
Nope. You can get them anywhere around Texas.

Nope, they are pretty plentiful at Sportsman's Warehouse here in Spokane, WA...

They're not "rare" but sometimes they can be hard to find in certain areas. Case in point, budshooter and I went to the San Antonio gunshow.......hundreds of Glocks there. Only two G30s in the entire show. And I only saw one of them (he found the other later). Most gunshops will have one or can get one, but sometimes it does take some looking.
The G30 is very rare out my way. You will be so glad you bought it. You guys out west are so luck to have all of the new 3rd gen guns everywhere. We are stuck with factory rebuilt 3rd gens that are over priced.
good luck.

The only Glocks that are hard to get these days are the 22/23 due to most of them being shipped straight to Iraq.
I think your dealer just does not keep enough stock.
sounds like a good used car salesman to me..... "better hurry, their is 5 guys who want to buy this thing."
you better watch out if your dealer says the other guy is going to pay more money ect.lol
I have noticed that G30's fly off the shelves here in central Texas. When I went to look at them last year, there was one there. Next day, gone. I had to wait until another came in, and pounced on it. They don't sit long on the shelves. After shooting one for about 8 months, I can see why. They're very sweet-shooting guns. My G30 is more accurate than my G22C.

Yeah, that's what this one local dealer told me. But he said that about Glocks in general and not just the 22/23's.
Then again, he was the same guy who wanted to charge me $150 to put: Mepro's, extended slide stop, extended mag release, 3.5# connector and a extended slide release on my 30.

Not a problem. Their price is their price. Doesn't change. Great, in fact: $425.00 for the G30.
Thanks for all the other replies guys. It sounds like, "Maybe they're hard to come by. Maybe they're not."
In either event, I was just curious about what goes on elsewhere with this model.
Thanks again, Tom
