View Full Version : I own a G18
Hello Guys,
I just want your opinion in this matter: I legally onw a G18 (with CCW permit specially for it) which I bought in a gun store for $750 in 1991, of course I don't live in US. 48 of these G18 arrived into my country to be sale in gun stores only to military personel until they realize that these really were MG's and also some civilians were buying them. I'm saying all these because all weaponery in the country is controlled by a military dept. that is in charge of imports, sales and permits.
The matter is that I have a person interested on it and is willing to pay $3000, I'm thinking this over because I need the money. What would you do in my position?
Thanks for your comments...

I would keep my automatic G18. $3K isn't worth it to me to 'give up' the responsibity of that firearm to another person. I'd sleep better at night knowing that I didn't put an automatic weapon in the hands of someone who may possibley be reckless, criminal or just plain uneducated about the use and safety of such a weapon. My $.02 since you asked.

You've already stated that only a certain number were allowed in your country, whichever one that may be. If they aren't going to give you any problems about it, keep it!

That's a keeper, legal G18's are RARE (in and outside the U.S.). Here in the states a legal G18 would probably fetch nearly $20,000..I imagine whoever wants to buy that sucker off you knows what it's worth and will be worth.
NEVER sell something like that...even if you're living under a bridge you'll always have your G18 by your side.

Not to start anything, but that clearly sounds like an anti response. How is selling an automatic any different than selling a semi-auto gun, or any gun for that matter?
Thanks a lot guys,
I'm keeping it and I'll get the $3K somewhere else. I also own a S&W 745 ISPC Commemorative and a S&W 19 4" Texas Ranger Comm. anyone knows the aprox. value of these.
Thanks again...

Whew... If you sold it, I don't think I would be able to stop crying...
