G3 or FN FAL

So how much $$ are these weapons in todays money. I want a original not a conversion. By the way just what is the finest assault rifle in the world!!

Original? For the G3, unless you're a SOT and can get a pre-May sample, you're going to pay in the tens of thousands range - I'm guessing $20K+ Dunno for sure, I don't think there's many out there.

Someone else will have to answer the FAL part of it.

You better have deep pockets AND you're going to get an OLD one.

No foreign-made machineguns are legal for civilian ownership after 1968. No machineguns PERIOD are legal for civilian ownership after 1986.

I question whether the FAL was around then- I've never even seen a single original one up for sale. The G3 will run you about $17,000 or so, give or take a few grand.

I've fired a Post May G-3 on FA. Real punishment on your shoulder I tell ya.. Kinda pointless IMHO.

Both are out there prior to 68 but g-3's seem a little bit more rare. plan on large $$$ I have shot a FAL and will say it is a handful as well. I still enjoyed it. buy a BAR if you want a controlable shoulder fired rifle.;f

I, too, have fired a G3. However, I didn't find it that it was punishing. In fact, when I leaned into it properly, I was able to keep my rounds into a respectably sized group. Not 1 MOA or anything, but enough to be effective for sure.

HK G3! Like that one!! I´m an instructor on the FN FNC, HK G3 and the 9mm M45b... They do know how to put it together the Germans! ´Dont like the FNC, and the 9mm is a bit boring... No, the G# is superb. I´d like a nice G3KA4 for me!
