For all pilots. Time to get your FFDO paper work ready. "Ridge" stated that the air marshal service will be reduced, leaving pilots to fly and fight the bad guys. :(
Keep in mind that ICE agents are now being cross-trained as FAMs. If chatter is indicative of a threat, they will be put on FAM details. Not to say the FFDO is a bad thing, just pointing that out.

J. ICE agents are now being cross-trained, TRUE. But FAMS will be sooner-or-later Rif/displaced employees. Ice, will not have enough agents to cover flights and there regular duty's. Documented fact.
Thanks for the info, shooter.
FFDO - Federal Flight Deck Officer: Pilots given law enforcement jurisdicton over cockpits (armed pilots).
ICE - Immigration and Customs Enforcement: Blended Customs and INS under Homeland Security (name might be changed again).
FAMs - Federal Air Marshals.
