I'm not usually one to recommend we create more and more specialized forums, but after searching for some info on spotting scopes, I have come across different things in numerous different areas.

So, who thinks this is a good idea? Who thinks I'm a complete fool and should shove my idea up my shiny bore? Who thinks both? :)

Hey Kevin.

I've ground and figured several optical mirrors for Dobsonian Telescopes. (yes, by hand. Most mirrors are hand figured anyway, even the Hubble.)

6", 8" and 10" diameter mirrors.

I'd participate in the forum from time to time or try to answer questions as they arise.

Count me in.

If Alex can make a lens for a doubleover telescope to view his neighbors, maybe we can learn something useful from him afterall.

As far as using mirrors, why does Alex need a mirror or a microscope?

I'm voting for yes! I desperately need help in this area and a forum for optics would be great. See my thread.....

The "Shutterbug's Club" proposal has about 46 or 47 votes, and it's not moving from that number. I suggested there that a "merger" may be the way to go, since both deal with optics, and calling it Through-the-Lens... or something like that; would you folks be interested in that idea? If so, we'd have enough votes to present to Sidearmor for consideration/approval. What say you?
