View Full Version : Any SPP shooters here?
I bought a SPP a looonnngg time ago and have never fired it. I was wondering how they shot and also if it would be worth while not shooting mine.

Never fired it?!?! What fun is that? If you do, PLEASE post a review. Those things look like a blast.
Never fired it praying that it would go up in value due to the fact that they were imported for only a couple months.
Its next to impossible to find mags and other accessories for. Anyone have one of the scope rails for sale? someone told me to get one for an airsoft gun...supposedly works just as good as the real thing.

I've had mine for a few years and I have to say that it is my favorite gun to shoot. The trigger has kind of a long pull, but easy to get a feel for. The gun is very accurate (the sling helps with this), and it eats everything I feed it. The airsoft rails look like they would fit fine but I had mine before they came out. For the cost difference I think I'd risk it. I hope this helps a little:)

.....
A friend of mine got one from a pawn shop for $550 about ten years ago. It's a lot of fun and, unlike his Tec-9, it's reliable.
I'm still kicking myself in the rear for not getting more 30 round mags and all the accessories that they had for them at the time.

Have you shot it yet?
No ...have not shot it yet....I dont think I will either....the unfired new in box have been selling for $1000 + where the used have been about $800 or so.
I ahve one with the Rail, I have an OKO red-dot coming on monday to put on it. Its fun to shoot but the skock sights SUCK. On a side note, its very hard to clean- so hard I'm considering an ultrasonic cleaner.

For the life of me I cannot understand the concept of owning a gun and not shooting it.
Especially a modern firearm (I guess a real old antique makes some sense to not fire).
Shoot it!
then give us a report!
. . . I do shoot mine. What kind of report do you want?
Toxie....any idea where I can get a rail for mine?
How does she shoot?how is the acuracy? recoil? will she fire with ANY kind of ammo or does she have a preference?
No idea, I paid a premium for mine with the rail, about 150$ more then (current) street price. It shoots like a large 9mm pistol :p. No really, the long trigger isn't bad after you get used to it, and rapid fire I was putting them all in the target at 15 yards. Slow fire it out them where I wanted them, out to 25 yards, but rapid fire is FUN with this gun! Sometime i'll get to an outdoor range and try further. The sights are very low profile (the rail dosen't help there), so I have a red dot on order. recoil is more like a mini-.45 then a 9mm. Instead of snappy its more like a push. I almost allways use Win white box, and had only one FTF. It was a hard primer so wasn't the gun's fault. Like I said- its hard to clean espically the barrel shroud. It dosen't make any strange noises or anything, and when shooting it I sometimes used the front portion where the handle SHOULD be to hold the gun steady.
USMCSKI, I just came across this in the Parts and accessories board, thought I'd give you a heads up. WTS: Steyr SPP Scope Rail and Leopold Red Dot (http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=253961)
