I've got a Generation 1 Kobra; it's the one with the skeleton-type mounting plate.

I love mine too. It's a great accessory for the AK. They really do hold their zero. I sighted mine in and have put it on and taken it off several times and it stays dead accurate.

Definately a must have.

I got mine from Tantal (http://tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/bstkobra.html) a few years ago. Excellent service and prices. You have to email them for current prices and availability.

On a side note, anyone have experience with the PK series scopes shown on that site? They look pretty nice.

I got mine in February after they started importing them into the country again. Price went from approx. $150 to $220, but it is definitely worth the money. Everything you read about them in the various forums (such as www.ak-47.net) is true.

I strongly recommend it.

I have the EKP-1S-03M on my son's SAR2 and the EKP-8-15 on my STG58. Like them both, best sight for the money. I got mine when they were $125 tho.
