I have my AK drum posted for sale I need to know how to tell if it is a Chinese drum? I bought it about a year ago and only used it once I just can think of a pratical use for it.

75 or 100rd drum? The 75rd drums have 3 "rings" on the front of the drum. The 100's have 4 "rings". Is the winding key have a small spring on it holding it to the body of the drum? If it does, it is a polytech drum. If it does not, it is a norinco drum.

Here it is
It is difficult or imposssible to tell from that picture whether it is a 75rd or 100rd drum. Please count the number of rings as per the previous post.
If it is a 100rd drum, I will buy it and can send the money immediately. If it is a 75rd drum, I might still be interested.

It is a 75 round drum. Its appears to be ploytech per the previous post. My web cam sux! and it appeared better on my end than it did when it was attached.
I remember when I could buy these drums for $16 from J&G Sales. I use to give one away with every AK I sold. I bought a whole pallet of them back in 1995.
$100 bucks? Guess I should have held on to them for a few more years.

just think, you could have retired early ;)
Yhup, 1995 was a good year. I also bought a pallet of 1500 East German 30 round mags from Paragon. I believe they set me back a whopping 75 cents a piece.

$125 isn't unheard of, either...
I've been seeing them for about $80 in the shotgun news, but then there's shipping too...

Drums are fun to play with, but they are heavy when loaded, and some people will also "burn up" a barrel if they get carried away at the range............
