SAR 1 drop safe?

Been wondering this for a while now. Can anyone say for sure if the Romanian SAR 1 is drop safe i.e. round in the chamber, safety engaged?

have no idea, but i'll assume if you don't post for a couple of weeks that the answer is "no".

Its pretty much physically impossible for the hammer to be released while the safety is on, so the only way for it to fire is if there was enough momentum in the firing pin to ignite the primer. AK's occasionally "slam fire" with soft primers, so I imagine that dropping it on its muzzle with a round in the chamber could cause it to go bang, which would seriously damage the internals of the gun.
