I think a Lefty Club would be a great addition to Glock Talk. sign up and lets get a forum for the southpaws.

05-08-2004, 08:49
count me for that

05-09-2004, 16:06
guess thats all;f

05-11-2004, 12:24
I agree with you. We lefties deserve recognition. Funny how much we have been able to operate guns and many other items specifically designed for a right handed person. I have tried to work some lefty items but was unable to after working with them for so many years with my left hand.

05-17-2004, 11:06
I agree with all of the above.

05-17-2004, 19:50
I'm in.

Once had a left handed corkscrew -- this when I was tending bar. After getting accustomed to it, I realized exactly how great it was. Unfortunately, it was a piece of junk and pulled apart after about 2 weeks. For two weeks I understood how nice it could be.

05-18-2004, 00:35
im actually right handed but for some reason i have ALWAYS shot lefty and i have ALWAYS kicked lefty. no need for left footed soccer balls. however, being a left handed shooter it gives me a sneak peak into how much of a pain in the rear it is to find things that fit and are made to work for u

05-18-2004, 00:50
I can't hold a hammer with my right hand. I shoot handguns lefthanded (or both) but I shoot rifles
right handed

Can I join???? :(

05-18-2004, 02:18
Us southpaws gotta stick together.

I'm in!

05-20-2004, 12:32
Finally, SOMEbody acknowledges the largest obscure, persecuted minority, the lefty;)

05-20-2004, 15:51
ok so far we have:

3.GSD17 (???)

41 to go

07-05-2004, 13:42

Count on me

07-09-2004, 13:18
Hey, there's another thread in the Clubhouse Office called "Southpaw":

It only has a few people right now, so we should grab them and consolidate them into this thread.

07-09-2004, 16:43
I'm a southpaw......I'll play.......

07-09-2004, 19:31
What are you going to talk about in this club?
The problems of being too short?

Count me in. Would like #13 or #1313. One topic would be what brand and style of lefty holsters for Glock 20's and 21's are available. Think the Fobus, which looks good, is righty only.

There are many other left topics. ;)

08-18-2004, 10:17
Put me down for one left handed membership.

10-07-2004, 07:16
hehe....ok, i'm in.

10-08-2004, 23:52
I am in. Anyone else have a hard time finding holsters in the gunstore without having to special order them?

10-09-2004, 04:40
im in always been a lefty

Herr Leutnant
10-29-2004, 23:56
Help us southerners out, need some help with this gun info, and being a lefty is making it harder

10-30-2004, 01:08
for 68years, and have become pretty much ambidextrous. I can shoot better groups with a handgun shooting righty, but am not very fast.
Add me to the list.

10-30-2004, 07:30
I'd like to join. I write, and I play guitar righty, but everything else is lefty.

11-01-2004, 01:54
Count me in! Southpaws are finally getting some recognition!

11-04-2004, 15:42
Iím in.

This would be a nice place to talk about left hand friendly guns like the Walther G22 or Beretta Storm CX4, both of which can be switched between Right and Correct (left) handed fire.

What other weapons can be switched?

PS I bought the Storm the day I found out how easy it was to switch to lefty.

11-05-2004, 07:41
kick it to the top;d

Alan Antopol
11-07-2004, 00:38
Fellow Lefty's,

What is a good lefty holster for a Glock 20? What is a good place to buy it?

What is a good ambi safety for a 1911 style pistol (10mm actually)? Again, what is a good place to buy it?

Thanks Alan

11-07-2004, 01:21
i like my galco paddel.

11-22-2004, 20:44
Sure but it'll be tough.....Everyone KNOWS Southpaws are smarter! ^c

11-22-2004, 20:55

11-25-2004, 20:07
I'm left handed, and I hate it when a right handed person tries to show me how my stance should be when I'm shooting! It just messes me all up. And thats my complaint for today. Thank You.;f

11-25-2004, 20:11
#wav count me in

11-27-2004, 21:35
I'm in. What's really weird is that I am left handed and right eye dominant.

T Earl
11-27-2004, 21:55
OK Sign me up, I would hate to be LEFT out. Slide stop lever, whats that? I thought everyone racked the action to close a slide. You mean you can eject a magazine with your THUMB?? how does that work?

11-28-2004, 22:54
Count me in--any other lefty ladies lurking?

Me too, another left-handed, right-eyed shooter checking in (I shoot handguns left and longarms right).

The cool thing about a lefty forum here at GT is that we can feed off of the other forarms, like lefty friendly hosters and holster makers, rifles and shotguns (and mods for the same), knives, and everything else for folks that stand on the right side of their firearms.

12-16-2004, 15:58
Count me in on this too.I am also a left-handed shooter and right eyed doninant. ;b

01-02-2005, 12:33
C'mon, lefties. We need this club, so we can collectively piss and moan about Sidearmor offering almost no left-handed models (do they offer any left-handed models at all?)

Its about time! Count me in!

01-16-2005, 16:37
I didn't add myself to that list, either. With Bravo2 that makes us an even 40.

what are the odds of someone making a left handed gun?
Mag release and slide stop on right side of gun, ejection port on left side of gun, if non glock, decocker and or safety also on right side of gun.
Lets see a righty try to shoot it, especially a 1911a - Left.

01-18-2005, 19:15
"Lets see a righty try to shoot it, especially a 1911a - Left."

An outfit in Sun Valley, CA has already done so, albiet only breifly, for a couple of years in the mid'80's and about 10K pistols-all "mirror-image" 1911's. {even the rifiling was reversed!}

Unfortunately way before their time, they produced the first production SS guns also! {"The Only Stainless Steel Auto Fit For Duty"}

01-20-2005, 13:53
I'm a lefty, but only when I shoot long guns.

01-23-2005, 04:14
Count me in. 100% lefty!

01-24-2005, 09:04
Can I come to?

We're left handed. That means we're either crazy or brilliant, there's no inbetween.

---Oh, GSD17, your GSD is pretty. Looks like mine :)

02-07-2005, 12:33
Count me in. I get tired of the backwards people having everything and us being treated like freaks of nature.

02-07-2005, 20:00
I am in, and to answer the previous question about sidearmor, they do make left handed models. Just not a whole bunch of them and mainly for Glocks.

Left handed OWB modular for most any glock
Left handed 4th Gen IWB for mid-sized glocks

02-07-2005, 20:13
Count me in. I had a left hand Benelli shotgun that I had a great deal of problems selling. Anyone else have trouble buying of selling a left handed gun.

02-07-2005, 20:53
I must correct my earlier post, it is not the 4th gen IWB, only the standard IWB.

But it also fits the 29/30 and the subcompact glocks.

02-17-2005, 01:19
Alright, we got 51! I sent a PM to Sidearmor so hopefully she'll be able to setup a new forum for us southpaw's shortly. Thanks for signing up everybody!

02-17-2005, 08:57
Got it! I'll need a title and description and will set it up as soon as I hear back. :)

02-17-2005, 09:02
count me in too

02-17-2005, 19:40
Alright, now we need a name/description for the forum.

I was thinking The Southpaw Forum, haven't thought of a description yet, but maybe something along the lines of "right" handed people, I don't know? ;g

Thoughts/suggestions are welcome, we need to get this figured out before it can be setup so the sooner the better. If we can all agree on something I'll get it setup.

Thanks guys/gals!

02-17-2005, 19:48
how bout, "Wrong handers forum", or "On the other hand, the forum for left handers"

02-17-2005, 20:24
I like the "right" handed people

and in the description something like "where lefties gather"

02-18-2005, 08:54
One of history's most famous Left-Handers was Leonardo DaVinci.

Gunslinger's John Wesley Hardin & William Bonney {Billy the Kid} were both LH.......

02-19-2005, 00:42
Any more suggestions?

02-19-2005, 22:16

Title: The Southpaw Forum

Description: "Lefties do it right"
or "Everything you wanted to know
about being left-handed but were afraid to ask"

Well, in any case, the word "wrong" should not be there, right?

02-20-2005, 02:42
I like that one. What do you guys think about it?

02-20-2005, 09:26
Works for me... lets get this thing started...

02-20-2005, 12:10
I like it.

02-20-2005, 14:38

02-20-2005, 15:55
I like "Southpaws' Forum" also.

Call it a roundtable for all things sinister, both "hardware" and "software".

02-21-2005, 09:21
Southpaw sounds good.....& instantly recognizable.
