View Full Version : Favorite Steyr Pistol Model?
I have a Steyr M357 that I've had for about 2yrs now. I love it! I've never shot a pistol in .357sig that was able to tame the recoil so well that I almost thought I was shooting 9mm(except for the blast). I can't wait to try MCNETT's new ammo when it comes out. I would dearly love to have one in .45acp, but it doesn't look like Steyr is going to make one in the near future.
So, which do you all prefer?

I like the full size 9mm.
I got 2 357s and my wife just got a second M 357. I wish they made an S model in 357...

I wish Steyr would make an M10 or better yet an S10.
I understand that a .40 can be converted to 10mm by reaming the chamber out to accommodate the longer case.
I believe the only problem with doing this to a Steyr pistol would be that the magazines might be too short for the longer 10mm.
Second problem might be the higher pressures of the 10mm.
Just a thought:
Can the slide move back far enought to feed/extract 10mm cartridges?

Maybe if they come out with an L model we will finally get to see the 10mm.
I'm guessing we'll probably see a Steyr in .45gap fairly soon.;f
