Does anyone know a retailer which delivers 14-round clips for M9? Preferably in Europe (I dont know if you can order law enforcement clips from USA anyway). Im living in Finland and I could almost swear there isnt't a single spare clip for sale in this whole country :(

I've sent email enquiries to ten or so retailers around Germany and Austria who have M9 in stock. No replies yet.

I need only one clip and a used one would be ok too but new is preferred.

If I were you I would talk to www.CDNNinvestments.com here in the US. They 14 round magazines available for the M9 at a fantastic price of $9.99. It seems to me that if you live outside the US then they could ship you the LE mags without any extra paperwork.

Thanks for the info. Tossed an email in their general direction. *holds his breath*

I have always wondered, why are the 14 rounds cheaper then the 10??

You gotta learn to call them 'magazines.' Clips are what an M1 Garand took.

Why call them 'clips' anyway. What is so clippy about them?

Why not call them grognagips? Or franlopanes? Or dergonasteins?

Heh, saw that one coming...

Update to this Quest for the MAGAZINE:
I couldnt find retailer in US who would ship overseas so I continued looking for that mag here in Finland. I was about to quit when importer sent me email that they had had a little confusion earlier when I called them and they would be glad to provide me m9 mags I needed.

Only thing that I have trouble with is the price, I was hoping for some US LE-mag prices but no, new mags are 52 euros (something like $61). Well I need the mag so no use whining I guess.

ps. about that mag-clip thing.. in finnish "makasiini" (like magazine) means integral compartment in a shotgun for example that you insert bullets into, like that pipe-like-second-barrel under shotgun barrel. This causes some confusion sometimes. I try to remember this in future ;)

Would be nice to buy 14s if the AW ban sunsets (less than 50-50 chance) for 10 or 15 bucks.

100% chance of sunsetting.

90% chance of not getting renewed.

The reason that 10 rounders are more expensive is that it takes more machining on the body of the mag for the 10 rounders - an extra step that isn't necessary with the high-caps.

"100% chance of sunsetting.

I hope you are right, but as of this moment I understand that Kerry is slightly ahead in the projected Electoral College vote (primarily because of Ohio) and that will make Rove pull out all the stops, which one of the first will be support for renewal as "commom sense" gun control from a "compassionate conservative".

No, they cannot push hard before the election, as it will hurt Kerry's chances. Notice how Kerry is not talking about the issue -- this should tell you he knows it is death for him.

I agree Kerry cannot win with the issue and Dems are gun-shy after the effect in 2000. But Rove may think he can make an offensive move from the right to the remaining 5-6% undecided voters who fall for the "common sense gun control" line, and who are (sadly) going to decide this election.

Kerry may be leading in the polls, but it's May, not November. And it really doesn't matter what Karl Rove or Kerry decide to push for, because while a renewal of the AWB does have a chance of passing the Senate, it will not pass the House in it's present configuration. Given the chance that there will probably be 8 new Republican seats in the House because of Texas' redistricting, I seriously doubt it'll be renewed anytime soon, even if Kerry wins. And if Kerry really wanted to make an issue of the AWB sunset, he'd have shown up at the Dozen Mom March.

If George W. Bush loses this election, it'll not be because of anything Kerry or his campaign does, it'll be because of Donald Rumsfeld's horrible mishandling of the Iraqi war.

My opinion.

Back to lurking now.

Mordis, I have couple spare 14 Rd. Mags for Steyr M9. I don't see why I couldn't ship them to ya. :) Let me know if you are interested. They are marked restricted in US, but if in Finland they don't care about the capacity, it shouldn't be a problem.

DAIadvisor thats great, but I already got my overly expensive 14-round mag from the importer. I'm pretty dry on cash side now so I have to take a little break in gun investments for now :) Just got Vega PA2 holster (Glock 17 model) and it takes M9 surprisingly well. With that and my new mag I'm all set for now.

It's a restricted item and therefore you can't just put it into a box and mail it off.
I spend hours on the phone with the ATF, NFA and State Dep., because I got a friend in Germany who wants some marked LEO.
On the end I had about as many opinions but not one real answer!
I told my friend in Germany that I will wait until September and then it's no problem anymore.

Please correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the AWB expire on Sep 13th?

What does John Kerry have to do with the price of Tea in China?
