45GAP and the XL650

Anyone else having problems with their XL650 e/w casefeeder feeding the GAP cases properly? The casefeed adapter, red, is not allowing the casefeed arm bushing, red, to swing and drop the next case without catching on the base of the case above it. I have to keep straightening out the adapter as it moves toward the toolhead after 2 or 3 rounds. Seems that if the adapter would sit about a 1/4" lower in the casefeed body all might work a-okay. OBTW, all works well with ACP brass.

Suggestions??

I have the same trouble from time to time and I rotated the case feeder just a small amount so that the tube is at a very slight angle(3-5 degrees) and that seems to have helped.

I took a doubled piece is clear packing tape and cut it square with the adhesive on one side. I then wrapped it around a 45ACP case sticky side out and inserted it into the drop tube adapter, and pressed and rolled it with the 45 case to firmly adhere to the tube. I then cut the bottom to 0229 inches from the bottom of the adapter. Works 100%, no more problems and it removes easily to go back to 45 and 10mm.

Dillon is working on getting out the proper drop tube adapter for the 45GAP, and I was told by them last Friday it would be about another 4 to 6 weeks.

Dillon now has the proper adapter for the 45GAP. Part number is 13842 and the price less shipping is $7.95.

Just called Dillon and that part is for the 1050!

I was told the 650 and 1050 both use the same case feeder adapters.

Most recent info on the "Reloading Forum" shows a different part number and price for the 650 and 1050. Remarkably, the price for the 650 is $12.95, which seems outrageous for a small plastic part like that.
