Hoping the AWB sunsets this fall, what would be the magazine capacity of the G37? It's being advertised as a ten round mag, but would that increase if/when the ban sunsets?

10. The G37 mag capacity is governed by the law of physics, as are the G27, G30, G33 and G36 magazines.

Thanks for the replies. I tried a search before I posted; I guess I didn't put in the correct words. Anyway, I was browsing aftereward and found your post. Thanks for the help.

If/when the AWB sunsets, won't people want a round they can carry more of? I'll be curious to see if the .45 GAP will still have the same appeal when you can carry other calibers with more rounds. It seems to be a good round, based on what I've read. Is is that much better that people would be willing to sacrifice round count for its supposed stopping power advantage?

Yeah, but the G27, G30, and G33's aren't governed by the "bastid-Glock-won't-take-other-Glocks'-hicap-mags-law"! :)

Walter,

Since you don't like the .45GAP, why not find another forum in which to express your dislikes.

He has to keep his post count up, Danny ;P

Danny, just a little friendly jocularity; ergo, the :). When I stay away from this forum for a few days, I check in and there are no posts. I'm just trying to assist Gaston in his ill-fated vanity enterprise! ;) (By generating responses in this forum)

You’re an inelegant guy WalterGA so why use the above avenue with your “friendly” jabs?

I don't know, Walter. Looking at its capabilities it seems to be quite a viable alternative to the .40 or .45acp. I love the .45acp, but I find the grip on my G21 to be not as flexible should I decide to shoot left handed or even single handed......and I don't consider my self a small guy at 6'2.

Pete's reloading data on the .45gap cabability seems that it can go head to head with the hottest .45acp+P loads and with a thicker case wall, probably more safe in barrels with less chamber support. Frankly, I hear of more KBs in .45acp Glocks and .45acp H&Ks than .40s.

My only beef with .45acp Glocks(double stacked mags) is the grip. Now I can have equal .45 performance with the grip size I wanted in the first place. I still haven't seen a review that denies that the .45gap is equal in performance to the .45acp, just that ammo is harder to find(blah). I'm planing on picking up a G37 this weekend and I'll take it head to head with my G21.;f

Gaston was crazy enough to throw a totally new breed of firearms on the market and offend traditionalists............maybe he's crazy enough to throw a new caliber out there as well and offend caliber traditionalists.;)

Since Walter only buys used Glocks. He's just waiting for someone to sell his for a good price so Walter can jump on another good deal. After that Walt will brag about what another great deal he got for another Glock...;a More power and another one for the collection to you Walt!!

As far as post AWB mag capacity goes. I will be trying out my Glockmeister plus floorplate kit with extra power mag spring on my G37 mag as an 'LEO' experiment. If it succeeds, I can safely say that the G37 w/ 11 and 1 would be a pretty close package to the G21 13 and 1 capacity but with a grip frame for smaller hands (a big plus in my book cause my paws are small). I will post my findings afterwards and the reversal of the experiment of course.....Unless someone has already tried this experiment..please share with us...

I posted this in another thread (Please share what you find though!) a little while back: ^c

By the way, a GLOCK 9mm “+2” only allows 1 more round to be added to the G37 mag… so I’ve heard anyways… yeah, that’s right… so I hear. ;) You get a few more on top of that if you attach a “THE Accessories” 9mm “+5” however… again, so I hear anyways. ;)

Ten is all it can hold; they ain't holding back any at all. No room to stuff in more.

The XD 45 GAP prototype mags only hold 8 rounds. They will try to tweak em and stuff in 1 or 2 more, but that might compromise reliability...

Funny, I get 11 in both my 26 and 37 mags. (A little leverage) both are post ban (of course.)
