Why do people keep saying these guns are going to disappear after the AWB sunsets? Wouldn't it not matter then which are pre ban and which are post ban?

Wouldn't the AWB sunset just make AK's cheaper and easier to get?

No! The Bush Daddy ban of 1989 still disallows semiauto assault weapons to be imported into the US. However, US makers are free to make whatever they want. After the AWB sunsets, that is.

They can still build them from foreign parts kits correct?

I hope HK starts building civilian rifles at their new US plant....

Executive order can ban anything from importation. Likewise ATF regulations can affect it too.

Don't count your chickens before their hatched.

The new ones all do, they;re built by Century from imported parts kits.
