Norinco Mak 90 or SKS

I have had a SKS before and loved it. The local pawn shop has a Mak 90 Sporter for about $500 (ouch!) and SKS for about $250. Both are Norinco's and look to be in excellent condition. I am sure I can haggle a bit on the Mak 90. But I need the expertise of this board to steer me in the right direction.
The weapon will be used for pure teeth rattling putting lead down range kind of fun. ;I But I do want something I can count on. Any help will be appreciated.

I got my MAK-90 in excellent condition with just one 5rd mag for $300 cash, so you better be able to haggle a LOT on that rifle.

I've seen new (still in the factory foam box) Mak 90's at the gun show for $400. Often times at the shows you can talk them down even more, or they throw in the some 30rd mags with the deal. Sounds like that pawn shop is a major ripoff.

Of the 2, I'd take the Mak over the SKS, just buy it somewhere else.
