View Full Version : Advantage Arms .22 Conversion
I have just bought and used 200 times the Advantage Arms conversion for my G 19. It shoots standard velocity just fine; I have had three stove pipes when I limp wristed. Otherwise, it is flawless.
I have been able to perfect my trigger pull, since there is no recoil to speak of, and I can catch myself jerking or flinching and not pressing the trigger. In 3000 rounds it will have paid for itself. I always finish a session by firing 20 9mm's.
My question is whether I am hurting the frame and mechanism. It seems too good to be true.

I dont see how you could be hurting the frame, since the frame si designed to take the abuse from the 9mm the .22 should be anything to it. I've been thinking about geting a converstion kit for my 34, i have one on 1911 in Oregon, and it shoots great, its a ceiner converstion, but looking at the advantage arms one, which one do you have?
Advantage Arms. I chose it over the Ceiner because the Advantage Arms holds the slide open after the last shot.

okay thanks i know they make two models one with the front sight milled in to the slide, then one with the typical style glock sights, i was wondering what unit you had, i didnt know the ceiner kit doesnt work with the slide release, i want a unit so i can shoot more since my wife complains about the price of ammo.
I bought the one with standard Glock OEM sights. It is a blast. And mine shoots fine with the standard velocity CCI .22's of which I have thousands.

I have thought about getting one of these conversions but never had. My thinking was they must shoot like crap. Maybe I will give them another look.
Mine shoots fine. I didn't need to adjust the sights. Since there is little weight and recoil, I can work on the pressing and not flinching. Order an extra mag.

The only "problem" i had with mine was that the rear sight was way off to the left in it's dovetail slot. I didn't realize this at first so I adjusted the sight itself, which required that it be almost all the way to the right inside its housing. When I realized why this had to be done, I just left it rather than moving the whole thing, clamping it back in a vise and re-centering the sight inside its housing. No misfires or any other problems.

I've got a Target Model and it's heaven. It eats CCI Mini mags all day long. Just make sure you keep it clean and will oiled.
