I recently bought a Bushmaster Dissipator upper off someone from another board.

I was in such a rush to buy it I did not notice it was pre-ban. ( I agreed to buy it and I keep my word, it was my mistake)

My question is what option would be the best?

A) Should I look for a Pre-ban lower to put it on meaning spending more money and have the possiblity of it only being "pre-ban" for a few more months?

B) Have the upper modified to post-ban specs. so I could attach it to a post ban lower?

C) Wait till Sept. and see what happens?

D) Another option I have not thought of.

Thanks in advance.

You could wait until September but if you must use it you could grind the ears off the bayo lug and replace the FS with a brake. Since you'd never be able to use a bayonet on a Dissy there really is no point except for looks. The FS is probably screwed on so just remove it and find a Cav Comp to replace it until September. I have Cav Comps on two of my ARs and they work so well I'm not going to bother replacing them this fall.

C, wait until September to make your choice of what you would like to do with that upper. Or D and just don't tell anyone and wait until September to have fun.;P

I suggest cutting off the bayo lug with a dremel tool and a cutoff wheel, and welding on a thread protector or Cav Comp muzzle break until/if it sunsets.

Britt,
You've been here long enough to know the GlockTalk rules, specifically rule number 1:
