I was looking at the empty slot in the grip behind the magazine well and noticed a slot there. Are there any accessories, tools or fill plates for the Steyr M series that fill that void?

Actually the VOID seems to be in the accessories department for the Steyr M and S altogether. What gives? Steyr USA has night sites and holsters. Not really what I consider accessories.

I fell in love with the gun and didn't know that I couldn't buy accessories. I see the M-A1 is coming out, but buying a gun so I can have accessories on a rail for the same design of gun I already own is a little silly. If I buy another gun I won't have the cash for accessories.

This is a great gun, I am starting to see them everywhere in numbers. Maybe the market will demand accessories?!

How about a stock?

But how would I hide it under my shirt? How about a cool knife or tools or something?

Steyrs are pretty complete out of the box. Holsters are available and mounted lights to me have way many more cons than pros (unless you serve hot warrants and wear a badge so you can aim guns at people just in the process of identification). And can you imagine the endless GT threads if there was a Plug for the Steyr. You don't need a Saf-T-Blok because of the Steyr external safety. Don't sweat the accessories; save the money and enjoy.:)

I will agree, with a barrel and a trigger and a grip, they are pretty complete, especially with bullets in them. Great guns. I would love to plug that hole in the grip however (not with tape, either), lint builds up in there pretty quickly. While I clean my carry gun bi-weekly whether or not it gets fired, I find the lint almost as bothersome as navel lint. ;g

Has anyone tried to place a plug from a Glock into a Steyr? I know that the tactical stock is virtually the same for the Glock and the Steyr -- and it mounts in both guns at the same point -- in the plug hole.

Next time I go to the gun store, I'll try a couple of the plugs to see if one will fit. Even if it isn't exact, a little trimming with an X-acto might do the trick.

The plug from my 17L was substantially bigger than the Steyr slot. And when I pulled it out there was lint on the top of the plug. ;P

Never saw the need for any accessories other than a holster.you might try doc johnson ,but that may be the wrong kind of plug .;z

Some things I would like for my Steyr:

extended o-ring threaded barrel
Tungsten/Steel Guide Rod (or Sprinco system) with stronger recoil spring
A DAMN RAIL ADAPTER!!!

Oh ya, cheap standard caps from CDNN once the "AWB" goes away :)

Been corresponding with Alan from sprinco and he seems determined to get a system up for the Steyr.

Dont know what is going on with rail adapter from Odell's Engineering and I dont know their url.

When I have time I will email jarvis, etc about getting an oring type extended barrel (I think jarvis makes glock oring barrels as well).

IRA51, wrong forum! Did that one slip? You might find that you will shoot a higher than normal with that kind of plug. At least that is what the local sex toy shooter society said. ;P

Someone makes threaded barrels because I saw a picture of a M9 w/ silencer that came from a german gun forum.
