Here's my newest toy. A Yugo 24/47 Mauser from Aim. It took some work to get it looking like this, but that's half the fun!

a hakim is a much bigger and heavier weapon.

the fr8's used the cetme barrel and a mauser action. i have heard 2 stories as to why they used the cetme barrels.

the first is that they had a surplus of usable barrels. the second is that they were trying to deceive the enemy into thinking that they had a semi/full auto rifle.

Sorry for not replying sooner. Yes it's an FR-8.

I love this handy little rifle. More accurate than I ever expected and very light.

Some claim it has a severe recoil but I have not found this to be my experience.

Sorry to hear that, Gary. We disagreed on a lot of issues, but you seemed sincere and civil, and you pretty much argued according to the "rules" of internet debate (whatever that means). ;)

In any case, good luck to you. I'll probably see you aound the boards. ;c

Beautiful Mosin ;P

What did you use to refinish the stock? The M44 I plan on keeping as my shooter is a candidate for refinishing...

It's about six feet long with the bayonet.

And here I am shooting it:
