When I fire my G30 I feel a pinch on my pinky. It's right where the mag is supposed to fit flush with the grip. It seems that when the slide cycles and ejects the spent case, pressure is released from the top of the mag and it gets moved upwards.
The pain felt in my hand seems to make recoil seem worse than it really is.

It's not the end of the world but it would be nice to be able to correct this problem. Anyone else experience this? If so, how did you correct it if at all?

There are some nice mag extensions that better accomodate the pinky and stop the problem you are having. I take it you don't have the "U" shape cutout that is making it worse right?

I never got the pinch, but I hear the Pearce base plates solve it if you have it. I use them and I like them.

I use the 10 round and never had such a problem. Curious.

I never got pinched with the stock ten-rounders but since adding the pierce extenders I do now...go figure.
I am going to try filing it off and making it smoother at the top of the sharp edge on the base plate....

No pinching here. After many thousands of rounds over about five years. The Pearce grip adapter usually cures the problem for those who have it.

They are the 10 rounders. It has happend since day one. It does not happen with the 9 round mags.

Not on every round but yes. I found it mildly uncomfortable and distracting.

I have a G36 that does the same thing. My first time out, I fired 200 rounds; the pinching was so bad it caused my finger to bleed. I didn't notice the blood until afterward. My quick and dirty solution is to now put a band aid on my pinky before I start target practice.
If I grab my Glocks or Makarovs high, they will also rub my hand enough in recoil to cut after a couple of hundred rounds. I guess what they say is right, "No pain, no gain".

I use the 9 and the 10 rounders.
No problems.

I don't have the problem, but a friend complains when he shoots my G30.

I have factory 10's and Scherer extenders. Don't seem to get
the pinky pinch yet. My pinky seems to lay fully on both....
