Lewisville. 16 miles from Addison as the I-35E and Belt Line roads wend.

I was born in Grand Saline, grew up in Irving, lived in Grand Prairie for 10 years, Houston for 1.25 years, and now approaching 10 years in Lewisville.

My kin are scattered from Alpine in the west to Orange in the southeastest. I'm probably related to anybody who hails from Van Zandt County, the Free State.

How funny Mike...Enjoyed the steel today with ya!!!
Sorry guys...we (mike and I) have a mutual friend who brought his steel match setup to the range...four plate racks with 8" and 12" plates and a TEXAS STAR. We had a blast today. FYI there will be an official range match next Sat. at 1pm at the EAST Texas Rifle and Pistol Club. Will consist of the above steel plus another TEXAS STAR stage (usaully divided into 3-4 stages) and a 3-4 stage IDPA part. price is usually $10.00. COME JOIN US! We usually have a good turn out ~30 shooters.

Brian I'm still waiting for information (yes or not) from Bill Powell's daughter. I was in the dealer's shop - t-shirts are still available. I think that the easiest method about money will be Western Union. I will contact Bill today, so maybe we will have some new information. I'm honored to be a part of this club. I have a special place in my heart for Texas and Texans. Thanks. Adam

Ps. about our decision to make a move to Texas - great possibilities for small business, low taxes, good gun laws and great people. What more we need? We checked nearly every state in US, contacted many Poles in different cities, but our final decision is Texas. Now we waiting for news from Department of State. Brian you have PM.

Oddly enough, my wife's mother's family are from the panhandle, and they had a family reunion in the municipal hall of the little town nearest the old farmstead. The walls of this hall are decorated with photos of the graduating classes of several decades early in the previous century, and lo and behold, I saw photos of all of Mrs. Baird's kids' pictures. Alas, now she's a Bimbo.

They also had memorial plaques of all the sons of that section of the prairie who'd lost their lives for freedom.

I haven't bothered to go to that range yet as that is all that I've heard from others too. I plan to go to the Orange County Gun Club as I've met a few members. Also, I have gone to a range on 1960 (indoor, can't think of the name) in Humble that was very good too.

tous,

I shoot at Garland Public Range. Where is the Bullet Trap located??? I've heard of it but never been there. I'm thinking of joining at Gibson's Outpost in Mesquite, on Lawson Road, right across from Devils Bowl Speed way, because it's closer to my house than Garlad Public is.

I've only been here 7 months, but it seems like the contruction on S.P.I.D. will never end;Q

As for The Sharpshooter range $14 an hour to shoot? seems a little high to me. Is it worth it?

The shooting choices really suck here, in (Sparta pop.8000)wisconsin you pay $5 a year for membership at the rod&gun club and you can shoot 7days a week sun-up to sun-down.
Here pop. 275,000 you would think there would more places to shoot: Starry Range $8 per gun, The Sharpshooter $14/hour, C.C. rifle&pistol range $120/year+ $50rip-off fee and only open 4or5 days a week.
Any suggestions?

BTW, other than that I love C.C. and TX;f

Don't forget about Texas City Municipal Shooting Range in Texas City. It's on Bay St, behind the levee.

They have 1,2, and 300 yard rifle ranges. Pistol range, archery range, Black powder range, and an awesome trap/skeet range. It is a full service outdoor range and the focus is on SAFETY. It is the very best outdoor range that I know of in the area.
