I don't think this is good!

I was cleaning my G30 yesterday after a range visit. Upon inspection is seems as though some of the polymer is chipped around both the rear frame rails. The gun functions great , never had a stoppage. It was purchased in Feb. of this year and the serial number is FTV***. Should this be sent back to Smyrna??

I wouldn't send it back, not yet anyway. Keep a close eye on it and keep shootin'.

Maybe it's what they call "flashing" which is excess polymer material that got past the mold during the manufacturing process. If I looked hard enough, I've found flashing somewhere on every Glock and Glock magazine I have ever owned. Trim it carefully if you wish, and FYI the rear rails are one piece of metal molded into the receiver, so there's no risk of them losing stability.

After about 600-700 rounds I noticed that on mine too. Took an exacto knife and trimmed the little pieces that were sticking out. No probs yet, and now it has been 3k+...:)
