TWS G26

After owning handguns for the past 18 years, I finally purchased my first .45, the Glock 30. I read many of your posts in this forum, studied ballistic charts, reviews, etc. I've been carrying the G19 with +P ammo for the past couple of years, but would like to carry the G30 once I'm confident of my proficiency. The .45 is such a pleasant cartridge to shoot in the G30....I've been very surprised.
So far, no problems at all through nearly 200 rds...an assortment of Winchester White Box 230gr FMJ, Speer 200gr +P Gold Dot, Speer 230gr Gold Dot, and CCI Blazer Brass 230gr FMJ. I've settled on the 230 Gold Dot for CCW; the Blazer Brass for practice since they seem to have similar energy loads. Personally, I don't see the need for lighter loads at +P levels. I'm going with what brought the .45 along for over 100 years.
I'm nearly 100% accurate on steel plates up to 30 feet....just now starting to practice at longer ranges, although that likely isn't necessary in a SD scenario.
Thanks to everyone for all the various threads in this forum....they were definitely a factor in my overall evaluation.
I hope to post some gun porn in the near future.
