I own a used P225 that was made in West Germany in 1982. I feel like I own a piece of history. It has an Ameican mag release. My friend has a Walther P-38 captured from the Nazi's in his family. I have had a chance to handle it and see the swastika markings.

G17: 6 months old :)
SIG P226 9mm made in 1995.
Still my favorite 9mm and one of the best handguns I'll probably ever own.
Recently bought a G19 with serial # ACAxxx.

Let's see, the Glock 17 was bought in early 1988, but who knows when it was made, probably 1986 or 1987. I suppose I can run the serial numbers, but the point is moot. The sig P226 is probably over a decade old as well. The SIG P239 is three years old.

Two pins, uncaptured recoil rod. Beautifull old gun with more holster wear than firing wear. Any help on its birthday?

While stationed in [West] Germany, I bought my {NIB} 9mm Steyr GB in 1985 from Bremerhaven Rod & Gun Club. ;?
It originally came with only one magazine (18-rnd capacity), but ordered 2 more in 1988 (while stationed in TX) directly from Steyr at a cost of $90 per, and it took 3 months to get them! ;u
Since my baby's 18+1 capable, having one round chambered, one mag in the weapon and two at the ready, I carry a basic load of 55 rounds! ^c
And I wouldn't trade or sell it for all the tea in China.... ;f
