There are plenty of guns for sale of all kinds and makes all over the place, but you hardly see any Kahrs...I wonder why, in spite of a few complaints about this little jewel... maybe it's because it's the new kid on the block... or maybe because it's a keeper. Why do you think no one is selling their Kahrs?

When I purchased my PM9 about five months ago there seemed to be plenty available on GunBroker.com which I used to get a feel of what they were going for. I ended up buying one from my local dealer for a fair price.

I just checked on Gunbroker for the PM9 model and there are 13 listed. Seems about normal, I'd think.

Just type in PM9 to the search at this link:
Gunbroker PM9 Search (http://gunbroker.com/auction/SearchResults.asp)

I think oldfella was going for used Kahrs?

Yes, there are plenty NIB Kahrs, but check out the "for sale" forums on the various gun forums - plenty of other guns, but no Kahrs, right?... That's what I mean.

My guess is the total numbers produced at this time is too low in order for a lot of used models to come on line, I have seen only one or two used at gun shows, compared to say Ruger who has produced large
numbers.

Sorry, OF. I misread and thought you were talking about new Kahrs. I think your educated guess that they are new and keepers is right on. I know mine won't be for sale anytime soon.

Sorry, but with all the bad news on some early-mid term PM9's I was very wary of buying a used PM9 and bought new and it is a keeper! I wouldn't buy any used PM9 unless I knew the seller's reputation and they said it was good to go. Perhaps all the "bad" Kahrs are now "fixed" :)

I'm with you on that one, DMObrien - I have always been skeptical of used guns, any used gun; except for known, reputable people selling their keepers to buy more toys - Smith & Wesson folks for example. I would like to find a PM9 with a recent Serial Number, but that is not going to happen for a while, I'm afraid.

I have a used-but-excellent MK9 for sale in the Firearms listings (http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=258853&highlight=MK9), including a bunch of upgrades/goodies, at what I think is an outstanding price, but have had very little response.

I work part-time at a gun shop here in central IN, and if it wasn't for me singing their praises, I doubt we'd EVER sell a Kahr. New ones just sit on the shelf - just like SIGs, HKs and other pricey brands. Used Kahrs, when they do come in, are bought low and sold low. We're just in Ruger/Taurus/Glock country, I guess.

In Oklahoma I have found the same Kahr ignorance. Once I discovered them, I love them and sing their praises here. I have sold at least 2 or 3 and I don't even have a gun shop!

That sounds like a good deal, Shooter2 - but I already have an MK9. I'm sure some one will grab it soon.

Hey Rev, where abouts are you in Oklahoma? I am in the Tulsa area, and really had a time finding a Kahr a couple of months ago, but they are just popping up erverywhere lately, in fact, I bought a P9-NIB-for 460 last night.

I live in Nowata--about 45 mins north. 460 is a great price. I bought one on GT for 450 + $25 to my ffl. Enjoy yours.

I have a p9 and a p9 covert for sale if you are still looking for more Kahrs

I think that answer is a combination of a quality firearm that most people are happy with and a relatively small overall quantity of units sold. I've been thinking about selling my MK40 because I'm not using it much anymore, but it's hard to part with a gun that is a reliable shooter.
