I finally got my PM9 up and running! Made it out to the range and managed to blast off more than 200 trouble free rounds! I used Winchester WB, Speer Gold Dots and PMC.

Very impressive little gun I must say. It shot very accurate. I had some paper plates stapled to some 1x1 boards. Kept cutting the board in half at 15-20'! I really wasn't going for accuracy at first though. Got the target out to about 50' and was still pretty accurate.

The trigger is awesome too! I like it better than the Glock trigger. Very smooth and shorter pull.

I did notice when I would pull the slide back to release it sometimes it would not go into battery. So I tried releasing it with the slide stop and that sloved the problem.

The only concern I have is the primer strikes are off centered. What do you guys think of that? Should I be concerned? I will attach a picture of 3 different casings that I shot, the brands listed above. I also noticed the casing that came with the gun is the same way.

And for those of us stuck using a dial-up at home... here's Colorado Fatboy's picture cropped down a bit! ^c

Those look fine to me Colorado Fatboy as do the “drag marks” caused buy the striker/firing pin.

(Glad to hear everything is going well too!)

Thanks Michigun! My computer skills are very limited, I have high speed so I didn't notice that I forgot to turn down the resolution on the camera before I took the pic. Sorry for the wait!

Just wanted to make sure on the casings, figured they were ok but better safe than sorry.

My holster will be here tomorrow! I have a feeling I am going to be carrying the PM9 alot more than my G-27;f

Looks a lot like my primer strikes. I don't see a problem. Bet everybody has that.
When you field strip and clean your pistol, push the little catch on the back inside of the slide to release the firing pin. Then you can push the firing pin forward so you can see the end of it sticking out of the breech. If it looks OK then don't worry about the primer strike mark being elongated.
Maybe someone can tell us if this is due to the cartridge being held a little off center (not flat against the breech) by the extractor lifting one side of the rim a tiny bit more than the other side during chambering. So then the firing pin hits a little off center and slides sideways a hair before punching the primer the rest of the way.
No pistol is perfect.
Whatever.

p.s. BTW, if you want to get technical and analyze this further, look at the orientation of the cartridge, primer strike, extractor marks, by looking where the ejector mark is (the long, narrow, straight dent on the face of the cartridge. This may prove, or disprove my theory above.
Cheers!

the answer to your question may be found on page 18 of the user manual that came with your pistol

I've got over 1000 trouble-free rounds through my PM9.

It is a fine little gun.

I did notice the other night that I wasn't giving the trigger enough room to reset between shots.
(I had been shooting my G36.)

The PM9 works well for pocket carry, and rides nicely in an Uncle Mike's Belt Pak when driving for long periods.
