Requiem for my old Pentax ME Super

And a sad "good-bye" it is! Gift from loving second ex-wife, many moons ago. Zillions of great pics. Shutter sticking; sent to Pentax authorized repair center; "needs" new shutter, which is no longer available.

Anybody got any ideas for a consumer fix on an ME Super with a sticking shutter? I downloaded the repair manual, but it's not exactly like working on a Glock.

don't know about a "field fix", but Essex Camera Repair in NJ might be able to help. They do lots of repairs on older cameras. You might want to email them.

Walter, my local Kamera Korner (formerly Kaufman Camera) in San Jose on South Bascom fixed the same kind of problem in my old Canon FTb that factory repair didn't want to touch anymore. It works great now. Check small local shops, you may find someone who can work on that.
