I received my PM9 Agrip and Meprolight night sights today and plan on installing both tomorrow.

When I took a "dry run" with the Agrip (backing NOT removed), it looks like some of the Agrip material will require trimming around the magazine well (too long). For those of you who have an Agrip on your PM9, does this seem normal?

FWIW, when I installed an Agrip on my P40 a couple of years ago, no trimming was necessary.

I had to trim at the bottom just a bit as well as at the top near the slide. Perhaps I stretched it some, but it looks fine and feels great.

Can't believe I missed this thread!!! ;f

I've put 7 AGrips on both PM's & Covert's (2 PM9's & 1 Covert were mine of course...) & all had to be trimmed just a hair at the bottom. None of those AGrips were overstretched either.

I believe he (Brooks) leaves a little extra just in case... after all it is almost always easier to take away then it is to add! ;)

It took you three days...

Michigun,

I'm about to purchase a PM9 for concealed carry purposes. My MK9 is just a bit too heavy for pocket carry (in a holster of course).

I find that I had to add a Houge Handall to the MK9 or the grip would tend to shift in my hand between the first and second shots - especially when I use 124 grain Gold Dot +Ps.

I'd rather not add the thickness to the Kahr's grip if I don't have to. So I'm thinking about trying the AGrip instead.

Have you found the AGrip to be helpful in controlling recoil with the Covert?

Does it tend to stay in place once applied?

Does the surface of the material deteriorate with use?

Thanks for any information you can supply.

regards,
Steve

Mine fit perfectly everywhere, no trimming. I guess that makes me kinda special, huh? I'm outta here, ducking and weaving. ;f

That is what the AGrip helps best with! I have AGrip on my Covert, PM9 & K9.

Most definitely!

It needs to be fluffed every now & then, but that’s an easy task… it’s covered in the instruction sheet.

P.S. I have Agrip on every handgun I own (even on few longuns) & if I had to give them all up but one, I’d be keeping the AGrip for my Covert/PM9. These are the grips/guns that gain the most from the AGrip!

Follow up shots are much better with the Agrip on the PM9. I am very happy with it. It did shift a bit before since the grip is both short and narrow. Agrip is just right for the added "grip-sion".

I'm convinced. Does anybody have a good (i.e., discount) source for this material?

I ordered mine from Kahr. The price listed is $24.95+S&H.

Kahr Accessories (http://www.kahr.com/access.html)

It sounds like a bunch for a piece of "felt", but to me, it's worth it.

You can also find the Agrip along with listings at The Brooks Tactical Site (http://www.brookstactical.com). They list the price at $25.95 encouraging people to check out their retailers. The Brooks Tactical site shows more example pictures as well as listing everything they have. Worth a look either way.

If anyone knows a cheaper way, it would be Michigun.

And with that... ;)

Bestdefense also frequents Glocktalk & is a supporter to boot!

FYI, the AGrip above is $21.95 with a discount offer (only see the discount after you go to the “checkout”) of $3.29... brings the total to $18.66! (And you guys thought I was just another pretty face! ;f)

Michigun, I never really got that "Miss Michigan" thing with the avatar until now. Am I just s-l-o-w? (Tiara, sash, flowers, etc.)

Sticking an Agrip on a Kahr is like gluing astroturf to the dash of a new car. ^8

if the gun was nice and straight and boxy. It would be easier to install the AGrip. Perhaps it wouldn't be fun to shoot though?

Yes but you DID understand the "Miss Michigan" thing right away, didn't you? (Every Michigander has had to hear that joke at least 1,000,000 by the age of 25! ;))

P.S. If I could fit the heading “Nude Miss Michigan” (too many letters all together) above my avatar I’d take off the tiara, sash & flower! ;f

Doesn't "Frederick's of Hollywood" sell Agrip pajamas? ;+

it seems like more Kahr buyers are leaning towards the covert, especially Agrip buyers.
