Last Friday I picked up a new PM40 after much debate about a 40 cal. in such a small package. Let me just say, I really like this little gun! The only negative was that a mag follower broke. We will see how Kahr's customer service responds to my request for a new mag. By the way, the 6rd mags are all but impossible to get back together. The spring is super long!
Ok let's get down to business. I shot 150 rds of Federal Am. Eagle 155gr fmjs. ZERO malfunctions. 25 rnds of Golden Saber 165gr. Zero malfunctions.
Recoil is a subjective thing. I felt that my G30 with +P's kicks harder. The little gun is really not bad at all. It's more accurate than I am. Plus, in a Uncle Mikes in the pocket holster it looks like a wallet or billfold in a front pocket.
All in all I would give the Kahr a 4 out of 5. 175 rounds with a broken follower is not that bad. I think the PM series is worth a look for someone who is thinking about a small concealable bug or summer carry weapon.

Call Kahr for a replacement follower. I had the same thing with my new PM40; got a new follower, no questions asked.

Same deal! I'm on my second PM40. Three of the total of four magazines took the toilet. New mags are on their way.

As far as putting the six round back together...it's the perverbeal three pounds of do-do in a one pound bag. Hernia time

...relatively good things considering how new this little powerhouse is.

Just got a new follower from Kahr today. The follower of the 5 round mag for my PM40 broke. Sounds like a too common problem.

Ok, the only problem I have had is another broken follower. The gun has fed 100%. Last range session was Gold Dot 155 and 165gr, as well as Remington and S&B 180 gr. FMJ's. I must say that I like this little gun. I sent it to the factory to have night sights installed. The turn around was about four days. (that is from me to the factory and back). All and all, I feel that it is a good little gun. Customer Service is sending me a couple of followers no questions asked. That's ok with me, but they should fix the problem. I could recommend this gun with out hesitation. But, be ready for some blisters and a sore hand. There is a lot of truth to the saying... carry alot... shoot a little.
Just thought I should share,
Chip
