Hey Dawgs
Just brought home a G30 this evening to complement my G26 I've been carrying 24/7. It even fits in the same Smart Carry holster (size small)with the trigger guard completely covered and it's not even top heavy. I just ordered the 9 round mag for concealment and I'll use the 10 rounder for the spare. I reckon if twenty .45's don't stop 'em....well..then nice knowin' ya. Anyone have a recommendation for a quality OWB pancake, paddle, or slide that rides extrememely high and will REALLY hug my side tightly for winter carry? I already have high quality 1-1/4" gun belts.
I'll be walkin' my Big Dawg in the morning when the range opens. I hope I love it as much as the G26 which is a dream to shoot.
Thanks guys and I'm glad I bought it. I bought it based on all your posts. What rent money, Honey?
Thanks guys

A JIT slide is small, inexpensive, and rides really high. The muzzle barely drops below the belt.

Thanks
I checked that out on the web. great price and small. I also found one from Rusty Sherrick that looked very stable. I though it was a little pricey and the purchase terms are a little flakey. Here's a link to the U. S. High Ride.http://www.c-rusty.com/pages/holsters/vertbelt.html
If anyone has one of these, what are your thoughts?
Now that I've run 400 down the pipe on my new G30, I think I may want to add a G36. This gun is incredible!

Comp-Tac makes several good slides and paddles. I've got their FBI speed paddle for my G30 and it's not coming off my belt without a hacksaw unless I want it to. :)

It also tucks in quite nice and rides high, though some of their others probably work a little better for that.

Thanks Head Sheepdog
I have a Comp Tac C-TAC IWB for my G26 and it makes the gun dissapear as if David Copperfield were wearing it. I'll probably get another for the G36 that is coming in the near future. I think I still want a real high riding OWB for the G30 but it needs to feel balanced. The JIT slide looked like it would make the gun top heavy. Then again, I've been surprised before when judging a book by its cover. I use my SmartCarry almost 80% of the time for both my G26 and G30 (size small). I cannot say enough good things about that carry method. I can have it out and get two in the ten/nine ring at 7 yards in 2 seconds. Takes a little practice but once you get it down you've really got it down.
