View Full Version : I Need A Holster
I need a good IWB Holster for my P9, I have posted in the Holster Library in Carry Issues, and no one around here (gun-shop wise) has anything for a Kahr. I have plenty of Glock Holsters to trade off for one good Kahr holster. Any ideas??????
I have a High Noon Hidden Impact and a Comp-Tac C-TAC on order. I currently carry using a High Noon Pocket Grabber when wearing jeans and the Kahr Pocket Holster when wearing Dockers.
I'll post my impressions when I get them. They should both be here soon.

I currently use a Bianchi 3S Pistol Pocket for IWB carry and a Galco Jack Slide for OTW carry. They work good for me. The Bianchi is a high ride and may not be confortable if your not use to that style of carry. The Jack Slide I use is for a model 1911 but works great with my K-40. I have looked at FIST and was quite impressed and my next custom holster I will get from them. I am just waiting for my Mitch Rosen Clip on from Kahr website to come in, for easier on and off when I have to. Good Luck
Comptac C.T.A.C. is a great IWB tuckable holster. The Comptac Pro Undercover is also a great holster. I have both.

Alessi makes a great clip Talon and Talon Plus IWB that works great for my PM9. Immaculate construction and the clip really is functional on such a light pistol.

I second the C-Tac. My favorite clips are the C-Clips. If you get them, get them for a specific belt size.
I continue to hear good things about FIST. Probably worth a try when I'm feelin' like adding to my holster box.

I have been using a Highnoon "Mr Softy" it is a clip on straight drop style, ultra thin leather holster. Works great and for $24+ shipping it's a great deal!
Have also been using it OWB but under my belt, I'm liking that style of carry more and more everyday. It easily disappears under any untucked shirt and is more comfortable than IWB.
Also have a C-TAC for my G-27 and like it. I would think a PM9 in a C-TAC would be a great choice but I'm not up for spending the $$ when I got something that works great (so far) for 1/3rd the price. Besides that I wanted to try something different.

Mitch Rosen's Clip. Form fitted.
Sorry, I meant for the PM9.
I carry my Kahr P9 in a Comp-Tac Undercover holster and my PM9 in a Comp-Tac Shirt-Tucker. I have been very pleased with Comp-Tac holsters. They are lightweight and have a very fast draw.
the FIST K4 which is a tuckable IWB. I called them and they are making an IWB tuckable mag carrier as well. 3-4 weeks, but they make it after you order it. They don't stockpile stuff. The mag carrier is custom for the same price as their others (~$30).

How many ideas do you want? I use and recommend the following holsters with my Kahrs: Alessi Hard shell Talon and CQC belt holster, Milt Sparks Summer Special, Executive, and Mirage belt slide. You may also want to try any Officer holster as they also tend to work with Kahrs. There is a real bonus with a Kahr holster. What is it? Generally, any holster for a Kahr pistol will work with a Mak. Regards, Richard:D

Go to the Kahr sight and order the Don Hume IWB for $24.99. They are minimal holsters made for the P9 and are comfortable for just about any body type to wear all day. I can wear mine 24 hours a day and not realise I'm wearing one. My husband (pretty big around middle) and son (very skinny) both love the holster.

I use a Threat Solutions UCR kydex IWB holster for my K40. The kydex takes advantage of the Kahr's slim design. The holster uses C-clips in front and behind the pistol so it spreads the weight of the gun over a larger area and it doesn't shift. Also, it can be removed without removing the belt. It is very comfortable for a kydex holster, although it is the only kydex holster I have ever used. I wear it over a t-shirt and under a shirt. This summer I have been wearing it against the skin under a shirt and it is still comfortable.
TSQUARE,
I use the Don Hume IWB for my Mk9. I ordered it from Kahr. It works fine for me,

I don't use it yet, but hopefully soon my High Noon Closing Argument in Horsehide will be making it's way into my waistband holding my K40. It is a tuckable IWB holster and with the thinness (is that even a word) of the K40 it should prove to be comfortable. This will be my first experience with High Noon holsters but I have read a lot of good things about them in different magazine and online article. Needless to say, I am optomistic. :) I will post my opinion of it after it has arrived and have had a chance to test drive it a little.
I'm very pleased with my K9 in a Sparks Versa-Max. Horsehide on the inner side keeps the gun dry. A very comfortable, secure, and stable design that is also easy to work with.
I carry all my guns in Sparks VM2, except for the Kahr PM9, it rides in a Sparks Watch Six, super thin and very comfortable!

I guess I never updated here. I've posted many times elsewhere though. I love this combo. Both holster and mag are tuckable. Very thin, which is great considering how thin the gun & mag are. The dance I do to tuck in is quite entertaining, since I'm covering on both sides. I definitely need some room to do it. Public restrooms are questionable there.
