Is $300 a good price for an Inland M1? Wear looks very good and the bore is clean. Anything obvious I should look for? It was brought back by a guy's father from the Big One, he says.

Indoor, so I could only go to 25 yards, but even with my old eyes I kept all the rounds in a 2 inch Shoot-n-See dot. A couple of misfeeds out of 50 rounds, but they may have been my fault. I picked up a sling and oiler for $15 at a gun show today, along with 2 GI mags in a belt pouch. Does anyone know what the sight elevations are? brentwal 07-11-2004, 18:20 Does anyone know what the sight elevations are? IIRC it's 100 yards and 300 yards on the older flip down sight. www.surplusrifle.com/shooting/m1carbine/index.asp Brent Jon K 07-25-2004, 00:26 100 and 300 yds on the old sights. these were the first sights that came from the factories. I have an old inland division that is worn but servicable and is a tackdriver. Good luck with a great value and a fine weapon. vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
