I had to send my 4" Compact Springer back when it was only 2 days old because the anodizing on the alloy frame was flaking off - After 8 weeks I got it back yesterday.
Went to load it up, and found that I cannot, no matter what I do, insert more than 6 rounds into either of the two mags.
My two Kimbers with officer sized grips all take 7 rounds - why doesn't the SA?
Am I doing something wrong?

That is all it is supposed to hold. Officer models are 6 round guns unless you have a Wilson 7 rounder or a mag made to hold 7 in that gun.
Standard capacity of Officer model guns is 6 rounds in the mag.

Ahhh...
Time to buy a pair of Wilson springs and followers to upgrade them to 7 rounders. I was gonna do that anyway so that the followers on the stock mags wouldn't ding the aluminum frame on the last shot.
Like I said, both my Kimbers came with 7 round mags, so I was caught off guard...

6 rounders are standard. I went with everyones advice and got some Wilson 47oxc 7 rounders. Over 3000 rounds later (and changing to a Wilson extractor, it wouldn't extract with the standard extractor form the box) no problems. The finish sucks. It does just peel off. So bad it ums up the insides of the gun.
