Using new notebook: Why are things opening in small windows? XP Pro

Just started setting up a new Dell notebook. Many things, such as My Computer etc. open in small windows when I click on them. I can manually drag the sides to resize to full screen, but when I close and re-open, it's back to small window.

I keep thinking I remember reading that there is some quick fix for this. Anybody know what it is?

I think you can right click on the icon you want to open and select properties. Then there's a box were you can set what kind of window you want it to run in when you open it, i.e. normal, maximized, minimized.

Folder Options

View Tab

Check "remember each folder's view settings"
