Please let me know folks...I have decided to add a TRP pro to my collection. Well, I want a new one to add to the used one I bough a year ago :)

I would guess a good place to start looking would be Sporting Arms Co. at www.sportingarms.com
I have read dozens of comments from people who have bought through them and they are HIGHLY respected. They seem to have great prices too.
Check it out.

Thatnks. Sporting Arms wants $2019 for the TRP pro. That is a pretty good price. I wonder If I can get it a bit cheaper. I dont know if they have the pistol in stock though.

Already have one :)

I want to get another TRP Pro so I can have a pair!

I have had several baer's, WC and others. Baer has gone downhill since the mid 90's and Wilso wants too much for what they offer. The fit, finish and overall worksmanship is superior on the TRP Pro.

Sporting Arms is a husband and wife team, Tom & Becky Harris. I've always spoke with one of the two of them and they are great to deal with. Not a single problem in over 10 transactions.

Their prices are generally better than I've seen for new guns on Gunbroker etc. and Sporting Arms is a known and trusted entity. That's worth something in peace of mind when purchasing an expensive gun.

I agree that the Springfield Pro is a very nice 1911. Another very nice Springfield, in the event you wanted something a little different, is the TGO 1. It's fit is every bit as good as the Pro, the trigger is better imo and the Robar finish is simply fantastic.
