Went "shopping" today because my gf decided that for her birthday this month she wants a gun. So we get looking and she says..."why don't you just buy yourself a new gun and give me yours?" I really like my 19 and was really leery of letting it go, but I happened across a LNIB 19 Ser. # FRRXXX with factory night sights and a Mitch Rosen holster and mag carrier for $550. So I bit and now have another G19 in the house. Shot about 75 rounds through it right after (bought it at the local range) and I must say that I like the night sights better...the dots work better for me than the U shape white line. Don't know why, but it does. Anywho, I was kind of happy because she is getting into guns and wants to get her carry license soon. Thought I'd share.

I agree with you on the sight picture difference.

Hello Eric, just curious, what part of New Hampshire? I lived/policed in Whitefield for quite some time and will always miss the area and it's residents. NOTHING like those White Mountains! I did find a pretty good indoor range while going through the academy in Concord. Mas Ayoob is/was the part owner and is quite knowledgable concerning most weapons. You probably already know about the range, as in those sub zero winters it's sort of hard to shoot much outdoors.

Guy I live in Manch., but work in concord. The only range I have been to is Manchester Firing Line. They are in the process of finding another building to expand their current business. They also opened one up in Belmont too. Haven't been to an outdoor range since leaving the Corps. I know for sure that I don't want to be outside shooting in the winter up here. This will be my 3rd up here and I'm not looking forward to it much!

Eric, if you like I'll try to get my aged memory in gear and find the name of that range. The best I remember it was on the south side of Concord. VERY nice indoor range and pretty impressive gun store as well. Anyone at the police academy should be able to direct you.
I'm sure you've already been up there being you've lived in NH for three years, but if not, make sure and see the northern part/mountain region of the state. That, and the Kankamangus Parkway are really beautiful in the fall.
Since you live near them have you tried any Sentry Solutions products? I'm curious about their dry bore lubricant.

haven't tried any of the sentry solutions stuff...didn't realize they were up here until like a month ago and I've thought about it. We'll see. Haven't been up North, in fact the farthest north I've been is Concord. I'm still trying to find my way around Manchester! LOL.
So about that range. I asked a couple guys at work and they've never heard of it. They knew all kinds of outdoor places, but none indoors in Concord.

I've racked my old brain trying to place the name for this range. Haven't been there since 1994. I've got some friends with the NH State Police and have asked them. I'll get back with you as soon as I hear from them.

about JHP...went tonight and shot 80 rounds of Corbon 115gr +P JHP and no problems whatsoever. Good sign I hope. That is my carry load, so as long as that works I'm happy.
