I recently traded for a NIB Norinco Commander. I did not know these even existed. It's blued with a rubber wrap-around grip. What do you guys think it's worth? Aren't they highly sought after?

It's worthless. No one will buy it from you. Are you selling it? I'll take it free and I'll pay the shipping.

"Highly sought after" would be a relative term here. As much as I like 'Rincos (currently got five of the Gov't size, and had more over the last few years), part of the reason for this is that the Norincos were pretty inexpensive, and I'm cheap. So as much as a few of us would LIKE to have a NorinCommander, most of this group is too tight to pay a lotta money..;)

They are indeed rarer than the gov't models; but not really worth any more. Figure $400 tops in my book. Of course none of this really means much since somewhere out there is someone who would pay you a grand for it, right? Then again, most would probably yawn and offer you $350, or even $300. It really doesn't matter unless you are looking to sell. If you plan to keep it, then you have a very nice pistol. (hope you didn't trade something like a P7 for it!)

ive seen norincos go for 299-399 but heck you can buy a like new colt 1991 for 450 all day long.for 200 their desirable but as they get closer to what a colt costs well you can fifure it out.

Norinco a giant gun company?
Well, sort of.
Norinco is a contraction of NORth china INdustrial COmpany, the commercial wing of the Peoples' Republican Army of Communist China. They make a lot of different products and selling guns to the running dog lackeys of the capitalist imperialist warmongers of Wall Street is a good way for them to keep their weapons factories up and running.

Glib and informative at the same time, as usual! Well, at least in theory, a Commie-made gun could be used to shoot commies, eh?
