Is Damascus considered stainless steel? Does it rust like carbon steel?

Caspian says THEIR "damascus" is two stainless steels laminated in Sweden.

Its a mix of different alloys, anything from steel/nickle to steel/steel, tons of construction techniques and materials. That said, yes, it will rust, as most likely both alloys used are some form of high carbon.
